The Berkeley Art Project (B.A.P) mission is to support experimental and innovative contemporary artists, encourage broad public art appreciation and facilitate public access to the art of our times. We also are committed to offering artistic activities for people at various levels of accomplishment and to providing space for making art, as well as for communicating with other artists. The vision is also includes providing local artists a means of interacting with the larger art community through exhibitions, performances, and readings.

B.A.P is committed to finding and professionally supporting talented local artists who would otherwise be marginalized to the outskirts of the international art community. This commitment is to people of diverse racial, economic, social and cultural backgrounds whose might otherwise go unnoticed as well to talented disabled artists.

The B.A.P mission includes the creation of a dynamic space that will allow such activities to take place: a gallery, art-making facilities, and discussion halls as well as supplies and instruction to talented artists.
