Hello old friends and greetings to newcomers! We are pleased to announce
the Eighth Annual Postmodern Participants' Conference! We again envision
free, safe, conversations in an informal, relaxed atmosphere. Most therapists
attending have experience with a social constructionist perspective (Narrative,
Collaborative or Solution
Oriented therapies.)

200 acres of beautiful natural habitat, less than a mile from the beach.
Relaxed atmosphere, motel type rooms, secluded hiking trails and
horseback riding Basketball courts, tennis courts, Ping-Pong, and a
25-meter swimming pool. Gourmet cuisine. All meals included in price. Vegetarian
meals upon
special request. Although the center does not have a liquor license,
should you like a
little wine with you dinners, you are encouraged to bring what you
like and they will serve you.

This Is Not the Regular Conference Type Conference! At many traditional
conferences, audiences sit passively while presenters lecture from a podium.
Often there is little or no time to participate in extended, informal,
stimulating conversations with
knowledgeable colleagues. If you are looking for a structured, didactic
conference, this is not it! This conference is designed to tap into our
collective expertise and our diverse backgrounds. Our participants co-create
the conference itself on Friday night and the
contents are then placed into pre-scheduled timeslots. We support our
evolving connections and friendships as we encourage and welcome new participants
into our community.

Presentations
The conference itself most likely will be a large group or several
small groups of participants talking about whatever topics seem important
at that time, but if someone wants to present their ideas in a more structured
way, they can announce their intentions to the group during the Friday
meeting and see what interest emerges.
Special Notes
Please be aware that the center charges us per person per room for
the weekend. There is no one day room rate. If you reserve a private room
and then decide to add a person to your room, you will be charged for two
people. Meals are charged per person per each meal. If you would like someone
to join you at a meal you must notify us before the conference. If you
would like to bring your family to the center while you attend the conference,
please check with us for a family rate. Sorry, no drop-ins.

Both resident and commuter fees include all activities, six gourmet

Location and Transportation
The conference is 45 minutes driving time north of the Los Angeles
International Airport. Shuttle service is available on call from LAX.
It is approximately 3 hours driving time from downtown San Diego.
Detailed directions will be sent to you when we receive your
registration.
