Welcome

to

Agent Shannon's

P o e t r y P a g e

There once was a woman named Shannon,
Who wrote a lot in the can,
One day I gave her a call,
She jumped right out of the stall,
And then she had a wondrous page of poetry on the web.

"MOTHER"

Speak easy to yourself.
Don't hear what I say.
Your world is more important,
Then your daughter's.

As your tiny child, I strived
To do as you always said.
I enjoyed your false promises; rising
Expectations in the heart
Of this Wide Eyed Girl.

You will always be there,
And I will always love you.
As you scream in our living room.

Your mental death.
As I called for help, only
To be faced by the silence,
You always wanted,

Me to portray.

"FATHER"

You left me
Standing. Many times
I had to

Fight for myself.
You always claiming
I knew nothing

About me. My
Feelings pointless; as
I took care

Of myself. My
Provider my hero,
Has gone to

Fight his own
Battles. Left me
Standing and calling,

He has the
Power, the right
To do so.

He is daddy.

"WORLD OF BEAUTIFUL FACES"

In a world of you.
Your beautiful faces.
A world of spice, sex,
I am your 18 year old desire
In baggie pants,
To hide the ass
Which you said was so lovely.

Running from you.
Running to find someone,
In this world of beautiful faces,
Who likes more then my ass.

"ON SPARRING"

Blow to your
Groin. Perfect example
of Karma, as

I later break
My toe.

"REFLECTIONS IN THE DARK"

Tonight has been strange.
I remark
As I gracefully pore
Gasoline on myself.

As a 17 year old boy,
Makes a feeble pass at me
I drive my car much faster,

I just want to go home.

"SUN-GODDESS"

I am no sun-goddess.
Maybe,
That is why they do not see me.
Here I am,
Hiding behind sun tanning lotion.

Do you still find my pretty,
As sweat rolls off my pale body?
As I try to scorch myself with popularity?

Amazing--
I am still no sun-goddess.

"TO EMERSON AND ALL THE MEN IN MY LIFE"

To overcome by
Analytical thought, you
Give up your

Human side. Run
far from your
Emotions, your hasty

Decisions obliterate your
Own mind. Thinking
Too much, not

Facing your own
Pain and blight
Sentence not coherent

Stutter, tears come
To your eyes.
Wiped away by

Logic. How I
Feel for you
And your terribly

Confused life.

"WHAT IS LOVE?"

To fill the
Void within me,
I listen to

your words. To
fill the void
Within you, you

Speak no truth.
We have so
Much in common.

"JOY FROM A SEVEN DIGIT NUMBER"

I'm going to scream.
I'm convinced I am.
This smile creeps across my face.
A feeling set
Deep in my soul.

Joy, from a seven digit number.

"GENTLE BRUSH"

Passion within me lies ravenous.
Awaiting one tender kiss,
One gentle brush of the hand!
Across my delicate face.

A single moment
Falling in love for one day.
One gentle brush of the hand!
To move the hair from my cheek.

One arm against the small of my back
Pulling into where desire waits!
These breasts do rise and fall,
This breath does shake.

One gentle brush of the hand!
Across my pale crimson lips,
Breathing fire,
This passion does burn.

"STEPPING OFF THE JOY RIDE"

Check me out!
My high heeled shoes,
Tight red dress,
And make-up in blues.
Suckin' a Diet Coke,
My puckered red lips.
Don't you want me babe?
I'll suck your dick.

Check me out!
My worn sneakers,
Saggin' pants and t-shirt,
And make-up, left on the shelf.
Reading Nietzsche,
My quizzical expression.
Don't you want me babe?
I'll take your mind on a trip.

"VERBIAGE"

Speak softly.
Words painfully remain.
Cryptic notes
Combine.
Words,
Become more clear.
Emense vocabulary
Turned inside out.
To reveal,
Someone else's inner
Wisdom.
