I have been involved in Democratic Party politics since the 1988 election. I was a member of the Alameda County Democratic Central Committee during the 1997-1998 years. I also was vice president of the Tri-Valley Democratic Club during that time.

I currently represent the 20th Assembly District on the Santa Clara County Democratic Central Committee.
