SEARCH TIPS:

Searching is not case-sensitive.

The following operators may be used:

AND: Searches for documents containing both of the words it separates. This is the default operator and will be assumed if no operator is used (ie. WASTE TREATMENT is equivalent to WASTE AND TREATMENT).

OR: Searches for documents containing either of the words it separates.

* (asterisk): Wildcard operator; matches any string. May be used only at the end of a word. Example: MICRO* matches any word starting with the letters micro (eg. microscope, microcomputer).

NOT: Will exclude documents that contain the word or phrase to the right. Example: MICRO* OR MACRO* NOT MICROORGANISM. This example will locate documents with microscope, but not documents with microorganism.

Parentheses may be used to control the search order. Example: WASTE AND (WATER OR SOIL) will return documents containing the words waste and water and documents containing the words waste and soil, whereas WASTE AND WATER OR SOIL will return documents containing the words waste and water and documents containing the word soil.

Phrases: You can search for phrases using quotation marks. Example: "ELECTRON MICROSCOPE" will return documents that contain the phrase electron microscope (documents with electron and microscope right next to each other.)
